How it works

Roulette

Press Roulette and you land in a chat with someone random. Sign in with GitHub or as a guest; everyone goes by a username. Talk ideas over, and press Next whenever you want to meet someone else.

When you both press Start building, you get a fresh sandbox together. You each connect your own agent and build at the same time. Like what you're making? Press Keep sandbox. Otherwise it's wiped after an idle hour, or once you both leave.

Your own sandbox

Describe your idea on the home page, or press + Sandbox, and you get a public sandbox. Anyone can watch the live preview, chat along and join. You decide who gets to code: by default people ask, and you say yes.

Everyone connects their own Claude subscription, and logins stay private. The agent takes one turn at a time, and every turn can be reverted. The Open sandboxes on the home page are for everyone: request a turn and you get 15 minutes with the agent.

Real apps

Every sandbox starts from a Next.js + FastAPI starter app with its own Postgres database. We run it all, so there are no keys to bring. Deploying to your own vbtwn.com address is coming soon.

A sandbox sleeps when nobody is working in it, and Wake picks it back up. After three idle hours it shuts down completely, but your code is kept: Wake rebuilds it in a minute or two, and everyone connects their agent again.

Feedback

If there's something you want vbtwn to do, or something that's broken, email me at nick@vibetown.social. I'd also like to hear from anyone interested in working on it together.
